Creating a Safe and Respectful Workplace
Diversity & Inclusion. Workplace Safety. Psychological Safety.
Educating employees is critical to bringing diversity and inclusion, equity to life in your organization and creating safe and respectful workplaces. But reaching every employee, delivering the right content for different audiences, and translating learning to action can be a challenge. That’s why Corridor has created a unique two part online training package. The first course covers diversity and inclusion training in the workplace, along with equity and accessibility. The second course identifies bullying, workplace violence and harassment, plus educates on workplace safety and psychological safe workplaces.
Creating a workplace where integrity, fairness, professionalism and employees equipped with the skills to have constructive discussions, are the beginning of creating a safe and respectful workplace. Corridor’s ‘Creating a Safe and Respectful Workplace’, is a 2-part training course. What are the benefits of a Safe and Respectful Workplace?
Employers that proactively create policies that promote creating a safe and respectful workplace create an environment that improves productivity, employee engagement, health and wellness, retention and will ultimately improve financial performance of the company. An analysis from Deloitte Insights, the research arm of Deloitte, found that for every $1 invested in workplace mental health the yearly return was $1.62, and after three years rising to $2.18. According to the report the economic impact of poor mental health in Canadian workplaces is $50 billion annually not including an additional $6.3 billion in lost productivity.
