Supervisor Drug and Alcohol Training USA (DOT)

Corridor Drug & Alcohol Awareness Training for Supervisors looks closely at how substance use – whether legal or illegal – can jeopardize the safety of your employees, your customers, and the public. Supervisors, managers, and other leaders have responsibilities to ensure their team members understand what is expected of them – and the consequences – when it comes to alcohol or drug use that impacts their work performance. And, if your team includes commercial drivers who meet any of the criteria outlined by the US Department of Transportation (DOT), you have an extra layer of responsibility under the US DOT Regulations. Designated individuals must be trained a minimum of one hour on controlled substance use and one hour on alcohol misuse. This course meets and exceeds the DOT Supervisor training requirements.

This Corridor course introduces supervisors to the impacts of psychoactive substance use, key concepts related to workplace alcohol and drug testing, and the responsibilities to monitor and manage the performance of workers and drivers in the context of alcohol and drug policy compliance. In addition, you’ll learn how to comply with the Regulations that guide the US DOT alcohol and drug testing program. Practical scenarios, knowledge checks, and interactive exercises help to reinforce critical learning points. Detailed procedures and checklists are all included to help supervisors manage stressful situations and navigate complex drug and alcohol investigations.
