Calgary, Alberta, Canada ⸺ Corridor Interactive, a leading Content as a Service (CaaS) provider for policy compliance online training solutions, announced today that Jennifer Mak has joined the Corridor Subject Matter Expert team covering the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion training area.
Jennifer brings over 12 years of experience as a consultant on a range of issues regarding human rights and equity, including legislative compliance, policies and procedures, individual rights, and organizational responsibilities. She is routinely called upon to consult and conduct workplace investigations and brings an in-depth understanding of how systemic issues can contribute to and exacerbate workplace inequities, particularly for marginalized workers. Jennifer is a member of the Asian Canadian Labour Alliance (ACLA), a grassroots collective of community and labour activists.
“We are excited to welcome Jennifer to our team of Subject Matter Experts,“ said Robert Miller, CEO of Corridor Interactive. “Jennifer’s unique skills and wealth of experience aligns perfectly with our CaaS training solutions and helps customers advance their workforce equity, diversity and inclusion goals of improved employee opportunity, satisfaction and to eliminate workplace inequities.”
Research shows that organizations that focus on both equity, diversity and inclusion will experience better business results like higher productivity, reduced stress that results in less sick days; better health; happier and more productive employees; fostering innovation through inclusive and diverse workforces with employees having a renewed commitment to the organization.
“As long as inequities and injustices exist and as long as there are groups that are underrepresented and marginalized, the work of equity, inclusion, and access must continue. We cannot stop until every voice is heard, every group is represented, and the needs of the most disenfranchised groups are front and centre to all our policies, procedures, processes, and practices. The heart of EDI is about dismantling oppressive systems and eliminating barriers,” commented Jennifer Mak, Corridor’s EDI Subject Matter Expert.
