Canada Refresher: Drug & Alcohol Awareness in the Workplace — Supervisor Training

Fitness for Duty. Reasonable Cause. Compliance.

Have you already completed Corridor’s Drug & Alcohol Awareness Supervisor training? This course is for supervisors who require a refresher to assist in maintaining a safe workplace. Corridor’s Drug & Alcohol Refresher is a quiz-based review of Corridor’s full Drug & Alcohol course authored by renowned alcohol and drug expert Barbara Butler. The Refresher starts with an initial quiz to assess knowledge on the topics and information covered in the full course. Based on the quiz results, one or more of seven Refresher topic quizzes must be completed, each focusing on a specific subject area. Each Refresher topic quiz includes review pages from the original drug & alcohol awareness course, so any or all of the original training content can be reviewed.

It is important to stay on top of best practices and evolving drug and alcohol legislation with annual Drug & Alcohol Awareness training. Use of alcohol, cannabis, prescription drugs and other mood-altering substances can adversely affect employers, employees, and their families and result in costs to both the employer and employee. Yearly training can help protect workplaces against accidents, employee discipline issues and other potential liabilities. The Canadian Refresher Supervisor course covers these topics:
