The RCMP has made impaired driving an operational priority.
Through a series of nationally coordinated impaired driving enforcement days, awareness campaigns and partner engagement the RCMP continues to work to stop alcohol and drug impaired drivers.
The RCMP created the video “Dylan’s party” for use during school presentations or in a classroom setting. It can help get a discussion started with grades 7–12 students.
The animated video shows a text message conversation between four friends. It introduces the topics of cannabis possession and distribution, impaired driving, and some related consequences.
Shattered – a drug impaired driving awareness video
Working with our National Youth Advisory Committee, the RCMP created “Shattered” for use during school talks and youth engagement opportunities to start a discussion with youth on the dangers and consequences of substance misuse and drug impaired driving.
The RCMP is also making the video available through our YouTube channel so that other adults and educators can watch the video with family or students and have that conversation.
